Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ShiftScheduleUp ("we", "us", "our") and govern your use of shiftscheduleup.com and its tools (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is a shift-schedule generator and related content and calculators. The core tools work in your browser without an account. The Free experience is supported by clearly labelled third-party advertising. Creating an account is optional, but is required to save a schedule to our servers and access it across devices. We offer three paid levels: Monthly Pro, Yearly Pro and Lifetime Pro. All three provide the complete Pro toolkit and an ad-free website experience. We may add, change or remove features over time.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to use the Service or create an account. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please give accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that are used unlawfully.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• use it for any unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purpose;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
• reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or copy the Service except as permitted by law;
• resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission;
• infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

The schedules, notes and other content you create remain yours. By saving content to your account, you grant us the limited permission needed to store, process and display it back to you so we can operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you create and for ensuring you have the right to use it.

The Service, including its name, logo, design, text, and software, is owned by ShiftScheduleUp and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own scheduling. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Guests and Free members may see clearly labelled advertising supplied by Google AdSense on public home, tool, and article pages. Ads are kept separate from navigation, tool controls, and download actions. Monthly Pro, Yearly Pro and Lifetime Pro members receive an ad-free website experience while their Pro access is active.

Advertising content and destination sites are provided by third parties. An advertisement is not an endorsement by ShiftScheduleUp, and we are not responsible for an advertiser's products, services, claims, or destination website. Advertising data use is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

The plans currently offered are:

• Free, $0 forever: no account is needed to generate unlimited schedules using 16 or more rotation patterns, download a PDF, save an image, print, share a link, use public holidays and estimate salary. A Free account can store one saved schedule. Supported offline features depend on your browser and device. The Free website experience includes clearly labelled ads, and Free PDFs include a small ShiftScheduleUp footer that is removed with Pro.
• Monthly Pro, $4.50 per month: the complete Pro toolkit billed monthly, including no-watermark and full-year exports, CSV, email and .ICS exports, every Pro schedule view, statistics and the printable Insights report, unlimited saves, version history, the team roster, an ad-free website experience and future features designated as Pro while the subscription remains active.
• Yearly Pro, $19.99 per year: the same complete Pro toolkit as Monthly Pro, billed yearly, including an ad-free website experience and future features designated as Pro while the subscription remains active.
• Lifetime Pro, $39 one time: the complete Pro toolkit, priority support and future features designated as Pro, paid once with no subscription, renewal or scheduled expiry.

Current plan details are also shown on our pricing page. Payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal. Prices may be exclusive of taxes, which are added where required.

Monthly Pro renews automatically each month at $4.50, and Yearly Pro renews automatically each year at $19.99, unless you cancel before the next renewal. Lifetime Pro is a single $39 payment and does not renew.

We may change the price of a recurring plan. Any change will apply from a future renewal after reasonable notice and will not turn a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase into a subscription.

You can cancel Monthly Pro or Yearly Pro at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal and your Pro access remains active until the end of the period you already paid for. Lifetime Pro has no subscription to cancel. We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on new Pro purchases: contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you additionally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. Where you ask us to begin providing a Pro feature immediately, you acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed you may lose that right of withdrawal, to the extent permitted by law. The Service links to and works with third-party services, such as calendar providers when you export a schedule, advertising providers on the Free experience, and payment providers at checkout. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as available" basis and do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, and we may offer some features on a trial or beta basis.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Schedules, pay figures and holiday data are planning aids and estimates, not authoritative records. Please read our full Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShiftScheduleUp will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or, if you use the free Service, is limited as far as the law allows.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, and if you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are not affected.

You agree to indemnify and hold ShiftScheduleUp harmless from claims and costs arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms, to the extent such claims result from your own acts or omissions.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA), without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform to resolve disputes.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
